Race for the Rivers is the main fundraiser for Greenway Network, a nonprofit that is based in the St. Charles area. They support Stream Team testing, clean-ups, and all other activities that lead to high water quality. This is a great race if you want to paddle the Missouri River. It is how I got introduced both to racing and to the Missouri River. There are 2 lengths: Weldon Spring Access to Blanchette Landing (20 Miles) and Klondike Park (30 miles) to Blanchette Landing and they cater to both new racers and those who have experience. Check them out online. August 26. Unfortunately, it is always the same date as Operation Clean Stream but they offer cleanups at other times if you want to do both a race and a clean-up. Joan.
