ParticipantI think I’ve filled it out twice now just to make sure. Sorry if there’s duplicate paperwork.

ParticipantI’m worried about the river level. Checking the link from Dave, the river is at flood stage today where we’ll be paddling.

ParticipantHi all – How likely is it that the trip could be cancelled? I know no one has a crystal ball, just wondering if I should cancel our pricey cabin rental and gamble on a FF campsite instead. Looking for expert advice & thoughts. Thank you!

ParticipantGood point, Kathy. I’ll postpone my first common adventure and wait for calmer waters

ParticipantSame! I live near CCL and can’t always make it in person.
Did Kathy’s safety presentation or notes from last month get posted somewhere? I haven’t seen them on the website

ParticipantDebbie and I booked accommodations. We’re all set, so don’t worry about getting us a site! Decided to come down on Thursday instead and we found somewhere nearby to stay.

ParticipantI replied to Randy’s post on Facebook for Saturday 1-3pm. Also just sent an email to be extra sure it’s on record.

ParticipantI’ve signed up. If anyone would like to carpool on Friday afternoon, I have room for 1 additional kayak + your gear. I plan on leaving the STL area at noon.

ParticipantCount me in, please! 🙂

ParticipantHi! I’m interested! Sorry if I’m posting 2x; not sure if my earlier attempt to ask a question made it through because I don’t see it on the forum. Is this event at a resort? If so, what is the name of it? I can’t find Huzzah hideaway (listed as “venue” in the description) or Huzzah hideout (in the title) online. Thank you

ParticipantI’m in! I’ll also camp Friday night at Log Yard. Won’t get there until ~6pm though

ParticipantHi Joe – sorry I didn’t reply sooner. My schedule has gotten messed up this past week & next week with last-minute work travel. Now I’m not available for an overnight until 10/23 🙁

ParticipantHi all –
Possible itinerary for Mississippi overnight:
– launch from Foley Access mile 245.0 & leave vehicles there
– day 1, paddle 11 miles to Cuivre Island & camp at site 26-1 (near mile 236)
– day 2, paddle 16 miles to Perry Island & camp at site 26-9 (mile 220)
– day 3, paddle 18.3 miles and take out at Ellis Bay (mile 201.7)
– possible alternative would be to take out at the Alton Marina depending on parking (I emailed the above to Craig Heaton for advice but haven’t heard back.)I paddled from STL to St. Gen a few years ago with a small group. Drove down to St. Gen the night before launch to drop off cars. We launched from the Meramec at the put-in near Dickerman Ct.

ParticipantI am interested in a weekday paddle on either of those. Hermann to New Haven is a nice, easy afternoon paddle, same for NH to Washington. Paddlestop used to run a shuttle on the MO and I’ve paddled both of those using it. I’ve asked several paddlers about camping on the MO and the advice I continually receive is that the MO doesn’t have good camping sites, and they recommend the Mississippi. I’d love to do a Miss. overnight!

ParticipantI’ll meet at the Eureka Walmart. See you Sunday at 8am. Thank you for leading the trip!
