We have 5 people signed up for this trip. If the weather forecasters are correct there is little chance for additional significant rainfall today, but I’ll be keeping my eye on the situation. The river level appears to be leveling out at least several feet higher than I’ve ever floated it before so it might be a quicker trip than normal. Tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy and much cooler so dress accordingly. See you then.

The river is at or near flood stage for the third time in a month. It might be floatable by the end of the week if we don’t get any more rain. We’ll see how it looks on Friday. It’s possible that there will be trees down across the river, maybe even a log jam. I’m sure there will be a coating of mud or sand on everything near the river. These conditions might make the float a little more challenging than usual, but probably nothing we can’t handle.

At present there are 4 people signed up for this trip and the rain we had yesterday brought the river up to a floatable level. Let’s hope there will be more April rain, but not too much. Somehow my contact number got posted as 1234567890, that is not correct, it is 314-585-8889.

It looks like I’ve got 4 interested and 1 maybe. Lets meet at the Allenton Access at 9:30 to shuttle as many vehicles as possible to the ramp at Route 66 park. The forecast says it is going to be windy that day so be prepared for that.

I guess my original idea is out. Route 66 to Sherman beach seems too short. Pacific Palisades to Allenton or Allenton to Route 66 would be fine by me.

That’s news to me. How long has that been the case?

There used to be a large post-mounted grill at the shelter. If it’s still there we might need a shovel to clean out the old ashes, a wire brush to clean off the grill and certainly charcoal and associated equipment.
