    All

Will be finalizing plans for this paddle on Friday morning and reaching out to all registered via text. Will publish exact details here, in the trip description, and via text message to you. We have two choices:
    1) An all day 15 mile paddle down the Mississippi River. Start time 9:am

    2) Meet at 10am at Hideaway Harbor and paddle upstream towards Grafton until we can see the bluffs. As low as the river is, paddling upstream should not be an issue. Maybe we could actually go to Grafton and do lunch at the Loading Dock. With this option, we’re not committed to a day long paddle like we are with option one. What do you think? Again, I’ll reach out to all of you via text no later than Friday morning or feel free to text or call me at your leisure at 636-922-3663. Texting is actually better because if I don’t know your number, I may not answer. 🙂

    All

I am officially cancelling this trip due to safety concerns. I’ve been on the Mississippi River in high winds and if was not fun. Downright scary. Hope to reschedule. Sorry for the inconvenience all.

By the way, I sent everyone an email Wednesday night using the email address in your profile. So far, the people I have spoken to did not receive it. I am going to call everyone individually to advise them of the cancellation but you might want to verify that your email address is correct in your profile.

While the temperature and such looks good for Saturday, it is going to be windy. Really windy as in sustained 22mph and possibly gusts up to 38-40 mph. We’ll be hugging the shore line but it could still be rough

Our put-in and take out looks fine. The put in could be muddy right at the water’s edge but the take out will be a boat ramp.

I will be calling everyone who has signed up on Friday to discuss

    Hi All

Sorry for the lack of details and short notice. I am going to be checking out the putin and take out options on Thursday the 15th. I am trying to plan for the best experience given the water levels.

You will have updates by Thursday evening at the latest

I just signed up and want to bring 3 non-members so we’re at 12 people now. That “Invite Friend” is just for other club members, right?

    Hi All.

Only 4 people going at this point. With all the rain, I’ll be watching the levels and the amount of debris in the river. If one more person drops, we’ll probably cancel the trip. I sent an email to everyone using the address you used when signing up and have not had anyone respond. If this happens, we’re still meeting at 10am at the Blanchette Boat Ramp in St Charles at 10am. We’ll be back sometime mid-afternoon.

St Charles just announced that there will be fireworks July 4th. As a result, we may push back the starting time to 2pm as usual so we can stay and watch the fireworks. (May be difficult to social distance however.) Will decide closer to the date
    9 spaces left.
