ModeratorThank you, Kathy!
That is very generous of you. I was thinking we could use whichever of those two parks had the easiest boat ramp to use.

ModeratorLong range forecast is 53 degrees and raining but that can of course, change.
Assuming there is no chance of rain, looking at going upriver on the Meramec from either George Winter Park of Minnie Ha Ha Park. Another option is to launch from the St Charles Riverfront area and check out the remnants of the Montana and Fawn steamboats, then also go upriver for awhile.
I am trying to find places that might be open for a hot drink afterwards. All suggestions welcome.
I don’t want to do this if it might rain.

ModeratorWell,
It turned out that my rudder lines were fine. They may have been salt encrusted when they stopped working last Spring when I was in Florida. Now I know what to check. Thanks to Matt Miller and Dan Garrison who checked everything out and lubricated all the moving parts with silicone spray. Florida bound in six weeks!

After discussing with Kathy, this will be changed to a formal trip. (Meaning we’ll follow ACA requirements.) A new entry will be created in the Trip Info & Comments forum with the trip registration link.
Eileen Lenkman
ModeratorAll,
for some reason, I just can’t fix the description on the trip registration page but it’s correct down below and on our calendar, I did fix the confirmation page.
Eileen Lenkman
ModeratorOops, I’ll try to fix that confirmation, Carolyn. I will cancel your second registration.
If anyone else gets that, don’t worry, you are registered.
Eileen Lenkman
ModeratorDebbie,
That was a mistake on my part when entering the events in the Calendar.
If was April 11, back in the Spring.
Oooops.

We have to reschedule this trip. Randy is our guide and he has an emergency work situation.

ModeratorIf people are interested in carpooling, we can meet at my house in St Peters earlier in the evening. I can carry 6 boats and 3-4 people.

ModeratorAll,
I am going to cancel this trip so everyone can make alternate plans.
Eileen Lenkman
ModeratorWe are down to four attendees now (8/29). I think we’re going to have to cancel this unless someone volunteers to be a Trip Leader.
