We have to reschedule this trip. Randy is our guide and he has an emergency work situation.

Eileen LenkmanParticipantCarolyn Knarr and Deborah Dyle are camping at Echo Bluff SP on Friday night. There may still be a walk-in campsite available if anyone wants to join us. The cost is $15.

Eileen LenkmanParticipantAll,
I am going to cancel this trip so everyone can make alternate plans.
Eileen LenkmanParticipantWe are down to four attendees now (8/29). I think we’re going to have to cancel this unless someone volunteers to be a Trip Leader.

I am sorry but I cannot, even if we moved it back to Saturday and Sunday.
If there are no volunteers by Friday noon, I will cancel this trip. Please check back here and I will send out an email too.

Eileen LenkmanParticipantI have to agree Ed! It was a great group of people and everyone meshed so well. I wish I could go on the Big Piney but can’t. 🙁 But looking forward to hopefully doing another trip on the North Fork in October. I will lead that but you can all be very sure I’ll be super conscious of people having the appropriate gear for that time of year — concentrating on the probability as in preparing for immersion. I am really looking forward to having more multi-sport weekends where people can paddle, bike, hike or just enjoy the great outdoors.
Eileen LenkmanParticipantGreat trip despite the rain and not paddling Sunday (due to that rain).
So good to see everyone again. I think it’s been 3 years since I’ve been on the North Fork and two years since I’ve been on a Club overnight trip and in my Liquid Logic XP9.
Maybe we can do it again in October!
Eileen LenkmanParticipantPaddling in the rain can be fun as long as you are not cold. Lots of waterfalls and drippy cliffs – great photo ops
Eileen LenkmanParticipantI used Frog Togs for years — still have them and all patched inside with duct tape! They make a great pillow if you don’t need them for rain.

Eileen LenkmanParticipantFirst time Ozark Mountain river kayakers: bring a good rain jacket on the river with you. Thunderstorms can suddenly drop the temperatures 20 degrees or more. Don’t rely on flimsy disposable ponchos.
