If people are interested in carpooling, we can meet at my house in St Peters earlier in the evening. I can carry 6 boats and 3-4 people.
Carolyn Knarr and Deborah Dyle are camping at Echo Bluff SP on Friday night. There may still be a walk-in campsite available if anyone wants to join us. The cost is $15.

Kathleen PszonkaI have to agree Ed! It was a great group of people and everyone meshed so well. I wish I could go on the Big Piney but can’t. 🙁 But looking forward to hopefully doing another trip on the North Fork in October. I will lead that but you can all be very sure I’ll be super conscious of people having the appropriate gear for that time of year — concentrating on the probability as in preparing for immersion. I am really looking forward to having more multi-sport weekends where people can paddle, bike, hike or just enjoy the great outdoors.
Great trip despite the rain and not paddling Sunday (due to that rain).
So good to see everyone again. I think it’s been 3 years since I’ve been on the North Fork and two years since I’ve been on a Club overnight trip and in my Liquid Logic XP9.
Maybe we can do it again in October!
Paddling in the rain can be fun as long as you are not cold. Lots of waterfalls and drippy cliffs – great photo ops
I used Frog Togs for years — still have them and all patched inside with duct tape! They make a great pillow if you don’t need them for rain.

First time Ozark Mountain river kayakers: bring a good rain jacket on the river with you. Thunderstorms can suddenly drop the temperatures 20 degrees or more. Don’t rely on flimsy disposable ponchos.
