All,
My camp site is Illini 050. Would you like to join me on Friday — or Saturday — evening for a communal supper? I have a new Dutch Oven and can make a hearty soup. (From a can this time.)

It’s 12:30 and I haven’t heard from anyone so this trip is officially cancelled.
If you are interested in night paddling, please let me know here and we’ll reschedule. There are several options.
If anyone wants to do this, please text me at 636-922-3663. I’ll be checking often but if no one has contacted me by Saturday noon, I’ll consider this a no-go.
If you want to do it but just can’t make this weekend, let me know and we can reschedule. Will schedule a night trip on the Illinois from Pere Marquette Park to Grafton but that is not a beginner trip.

Yes, I am bringing my 14’ kayak. I have no intention of going anywhere near the high traffic areas

I’m in Puma, 094 so not very far away. And unfortunately, there is no way we can ensure everyone is close together. If this works out, I’ll look at booking group sites for future trips. I do want to do more of these multi-sport, car camping weekends.

I’m in Puma. I drove through all the campgrounds last year on a scouting trip and you could see the lake from some of the campsites. Seemed to be up high so there would be a breeze. All of them are nice though.

Please let me know which group you want to paddle with: sea kayaks or short boats.
Of course, if you have a shorter boat and want to hang out with the sea kayakers — or vice versa — you are welcome to.
If you are interested in birds or wildlife, bring your binoculars or cameras.
The event is showing “no tickets available” but you can still come on this trip.

After you complete the first registration page, don’t forget you have to enter your name again and hit the submit button.
