ModeratorRandy, Was waiting on weather updates before looking to reserve a sight. The new forecast for this coming weekend has changed a lot based on the storm hitting the gulf. With that change they are currently forecasting around 3 inches of rain Friday and Saturday. If this forecast holds I will make a decision on whether to cancel late Thursday.

ModeratorMoving the meet up time at Sand Ford to 10:00 to allow the rain this morning to clear.

ModeratorHow about we do Meramec State Park to Sand Ford? This is a seven mile paddle. We could meet at Sand Ford 9:30 Sunday morning to combine boats and work out shuttle. They do have some rain in the forecast for Sunday morning but hopefully if we get any it will pass by time we get there and shuttle. River is extremely low, so no worry about a rise in water level. Let me know if this works for you. If anyone wants to join us post here or text me at three 14 Nine 71 5198.

ModeratorWorking the club table for part of Saturdays event, but could paddle somewhere on the Meramec Sunday if you would be interested. Any idea what section you would want to do or how many miles?

ModeratorHave enough for a shuttle so this paddle should be a go. Plan is to meet at Meramec State Park boat ramp by 9:30 to combine boats for shuttle up to the put-in. Would recommend some rain gear as a precaution. As I said post here or text me if interested in joining us.

ModeratorI have a bag of charcoal left over from one of our previous events that I can bring. I also have fireplace shovel and poker plus chimney starter, grill brush and tools I could bring and give Brian a hand.

ModeratorKathy, See you at Blue Springs 10:00 Sunday.

ModeratorCould be interested in Sunday.

ModeratorLooks like I have enough for a shuttle so this paddle is a go. Since this is a 15 mile paddle on slow water I plan on meeting a little earlier than usual. I plan on being at the Eureka Walmart by 8:00 am to combine boats and finalize the shuttle. If anyone wants to meet us at River Round because it is easier for them, we should be there a little after 8:30 hopefully. If you plan on meeting us there please let me know so I can adapt the shuttle. As Kathy said this is 15 miles of relatively slow water, so don’t plan on getting done early, I’m out to enjoy the day, not to break a sweat. Be sure to bring lunch and water.

ModeratorWanted to clarify the plan is to camp at Pultite Monday night and on a gravel bar on the river Tuesday night, so you need to be able to get your gear and supplies in your boat. We will paddle Cedar Grove to Round Spring. I have reserved campsite 23 at Pultite for Monday night.

ModeratorStill planning on doing this trip. There is the possibility of some rain over the weekend so if you plan on joining me be sure not to forget some rain gear and dry clothes to change into when we get off the river. If you plan on coming down please let me know by noon Friday, I may not have cell service after then. Anyone planning on coming Saturday needs to be at Greer Crossing by 9:30 to make the shuttle.
Dennis Strubberg
ModeratorStacy, Greer Crossing is first come first serve with no reservations. Usually it is not too busy and sites are available. I will probably get down there early enough on Friday to get a site.
