Bri and I did a scouting run today and the level was great with very little flood effects. You might want to bring rain gear or splash gear.

I am leaving now for the Buffalo. I will be at Kyles Landing and will only be able to check for emails, voice mails and the website once a day when I drive to the Buffalo Outdoor Center to use their WiFi. I will respond at that time.

The river will be good for the trip. The Buffalo rises fast after a heavy rain but it also comes down fast.

The best way to find out levels is at the Buffalo Outdoor Center.

We will be floating to set points and then shuttle back to the campground. Day one we will go from steel creek to Kyle’s landing. Then go to your campground. Day two we meet at Kyle’s lsnding run shuttle and then paddle to Erbie.

It is a go. It might be a lower water run or we might have some fun water. Overnight there is a 50% of isolated thunderstorms that might increase the level some but not too high. looking forward to seeing everyone.

The level is still above 2 and there is a prediction of storm Friday so we should have enough water.

The level is at 2.10. The minimum level to run is 1.85. There is a chance of rain for Thursday down there so hopefully we will get some. i am looking at alternative if the level falls too low.

This is a great stream to paddle. The valley as you come into Sam A Baker State Park is one of the most beautiful in the state. The trip is able to be done by anyone who has basic moving water skills.
