    Is the Buffalo River appropriate for a 12 to 13 foot kayak? I am guessing a 17 foot kayak is too long to be maneuverable but I have no idea because I have never been there.

    I plan to attend, assuming I get up when my alarm goes off. For those concerned about the heat, water fights with bilge pumps aka water cannons are a great way to cool off. I think I have a couple extra. Bilge pumps and paddle floats should be standard safety equipment anyway.

    Dennis,
    I am interested in Sunday’s paddle on the Meramec but I won’t know for sure until Friday. I have a trailer that can easily hold 3 kayaks and 2 canoes. It has carried more.

    Does the Cape Horn have a rudder?
