As I expected yesterday’s rain did not impact the water levels much. Since I have enough for a shuttle this trip should be a go for tomorrow. I think we will do Blue Spring to Meramec State Park. Let’s meet at Meramec State Park boat ramp at 9:30 to combine boats and shuttle up to the put-in. Hopefully the wind will die down this afternoon as forecasted. Will be a little cool in the morning but should warm up nicely by lunch time.

adminKeymasterThere is enough interest in this. We will meet at the store at San A Baker state park at 9 00 AM. If you are interested in joining post on this tread.
adminKeymasterI’ll notify the appropriate person
adminKeymasterDave H, I signed up for this trip, but now I need to cancel. However, I can’t find a way to do that. I don’t want to take up space on the list that someone else might want.
adminKeymasterBig Creek is above 9 feet. I have done it at 8 feet and it was a challenge for experienced whitewater paddlers and took less than 2 hours yo ho 10 miles. I wouldn’t want to go at 9 feet. The creek is out of its bank and into tje trees.
adminKeymasterGood move. Thanks for letting us know. Maybe we can reschedule sometime in April?
adminKeymasterThe trip is canceled due to flooding. Big Creek is Guage is over 7 feet. The cut off is 4 feet for the park to put people on. It is predicted to rain all day today and tonight.
adminKeymasterHi Karen,
I’m interested in the Carlyle Lake paddle, although I don’t have a larger boat. I appreciate your offer to loan one. I’m also interested in the Two Rivers paddle.
Ed BayhamadminKeymasterI was just signing on to ask you about water levels. Great minds think alike! 5 days of rain could make this dicey. Will wait to hear from you.
adminKeymasterThere is a considerable amount of rain forecasted for this week. If the gauge looks to be over 4 feet on the Sam A Baker https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?site_no=07037300&legacy=1 I will cancel the trip. I will continue to monitor the forecast and the gauge this week. I will be leaving for the park Friday @ noon and make a discision before that time.
adminKeymasterYou can fill out the form at this link https://canoeandkayak.regfox.com/trip-submission-form After you submit the trip you will be sent a link to the sign up page for your approval.
adminKeymasterI’m still interested. Tried to find it on the schedule just now and couldn’t. Count me in anyway.
Joe
adminKeymasterMarty,
I’d appreciate help with listing the Carlyle Lake long distance paddle on May 17th. Having never posted a trip, I have not been able to find where on the website to list it.
However, I want to post it for May 17th.
Karen PaulsadminKeymasterI’m interested in both the Carlyle and the Two Rivers paddles if my schedule will allow. I may be able to find a Map of Two Rivers Waterfowl Area from Joe Smentowski that is helpful for navigating there.
Thanks for posting!
