For those that just want a day trip , this is a 10 mile class 1 paddle on the Meramec, suitable for rec kayaks and canoes . It’s appropriate for beginners, providing they dress for immersion or carry an extra set of dry cloths. No cotton! No hiking boots ! Temps will be into 70s hopefully, but water cold .
