August 19 we will have a SUPER MOON, which should provide even more light than a regular full moon. I want to paddle at Horseshoe Lake. This is located in Horseshoe Lake State (Illinois) Park. It is accessible off of highway 70 and highway 255, the entrance is in Illinois 111. Meet at the boat ramp at 6pm. We will paddle and watch the sunset and then the full moon rise. This is a lake and unless it is very windy should be easy paddling. While it should stay pretty light out, please bring a headlight if you have one. Also, fair warning, we have jumping carp. If you have a skirt or a splash deck might not be a bad idea to wear it. For those in sit on tops, you may have visitors.
If you have questions I can be reached at 618-896-9277. Please reply here so we know if you are coming.
