ParticipantI’m interested in the trip but only FFS campsites are available. Is it usually easy to get a site without a reservation? Dennis, I’d be open to sharing a spot if we can get one.

1st time to the Buffalo, I usually overnight on gravel bars, I’m hoping that there’s a campsite still available and we can get the same location, maybe share a campfire and hear about adventures with laughs fun.

PS.If Aziz wants to borrow my 15′ Mad River Journey canoe I will bring it with me. -

ParticipantI am signed up, and plan to carpool with Stacy. I am concerned about us getting a site, because we will be leaving at noon on Friday. If anyone who can get there earlier can save us room at their site OR snag us a site if the are going early I will happily give them the money to pay for it (including paying for an extra night if anyone is arriving Thursday (before the Rush) (I know we aren’t going to Rush, lol) thanks for any assistance.

ParticipantThe river will be good for the trip. The Buffalo rises fast after a heavy rain but it also comes down fast.

ModeratorAs I stated in the April Club meeting we have not had success with people following the required procedures for ACA approved trips. We need everyone attending to fill out the provided trip waiver for each trip so that we can provide the proper information to the ACA. This includes the trip leader and all individuals that participate in the event. We also need any non ACA members to pay the ACA liability insurance fee.
Thanks for your cooperation with this.

ModeratorStacy, The Buffalo will drop quickly this week. Right now there is no significant rainfall forecast for this week. If you look at the upstream gauge you can see how quickly it is dropping.

ParticipantJohn Meyer and I’m driving down Thursday to secure 2 sites. We’ve promised Gary K, Gary Palmer, Dennis Pierce,Scott, Lorie to share with us at Steel Creek. That makes 7 on 2 sites. We will share if there is room. We just can’t buy more sites if vacant . Most people are willing to share . There are flush toilets, tap water. Bring a cable lock for your boat . Helmet for class II. Dress for immersion . Down load off line maps as there is little cell service there. Buffalo Outdoor Center has free maps . Kathy

ParticipantIf anyone is camping at Steel Creek, just seen a notice on their website that there is no drinking water until further notice. Might want to fill up before you leave.
Does anyone know if Kyles Landing has Drinking water?
We’re leaving late afternoon tomorrow, let me know if you need anything.
