KeymasterWondering if there is any interest in padding the Bourbeuse R from Uhlemeyer to Chouteau Claim
Sunday. It’s a slow , twisty river and about 5.5 miles out of St Clair MO area. Weather up to 70 and less wind . It will get dark early do plan to be off river by 3 pm . I’m still without trailer, but can carry two kayaks on my vehicle. Let me know if your interested. Kathy 3144023038 and I’ll post more details. -

This trip is suitable for rec kayaks, canoes . As always , wear your PFD, bring water, lunch, and dress for possible immersion. Water will be cold .https://education.mdc.mo.gov/sites/default/files/downloads/conservation-areas/9407map.pdf

KeymasterInterested, and can fit two yaks on my roof rack (I have Yakima pads and noodles)
To dress for immersion…does that mean dry suit or wet suit? I have a skirt but no wetsuit yet (and probably not investing in dry suit yet until I’m paddling more)

KeymasterSounds like fun. Will see you there!
Meeting at 10 – does that give us enough time to shuttle to take out and get back? -

KeymasterYes. It’s only 5.5 miles but slow flow. Always good to bring a headlamp this time of year

KeymasterWear poly pro like running tights or long Johns and extra clothing to change into in a dry bag. Wear a wind breaker to hold in your body heat . Cap . Your feet will get wet so who socks if you don’t have neoprene booties . Kathy
