Thought I would post and see if anyone would be interested in paddling Huzzah Creek Sunday. Weather looks good and hopefully water level will hold till then. Post here or text me at 314 Nine71 Five198 if interested. If the creek falls too much I may do a section of the Meramec. Will post details if I get enough for a shuttle.

Hi Dennis I’m interested. Would you know if this section of Huzzah Creek is family, kid friendly in 16 ft canoe?

This is a small twisty stream, so it depends on your skill level of paddling a canoe. People do canoe it and I have in my solo canoe. Do not know if we will have any strainers that will require portaging from the recent flooding. This early the outfitters may not be removing downed trees. Most of it is easy but there will be some pushy riffles that may dump you into a strainer.

The weather and water level looks good for this paddle. I should have enough for a shuttle So this trip is a go unless something unexpected happens. The plan is to meet at 9:30 am at the Scotia Access to combine boats and shuttle up to the Forest Service Access for put-in. If you want to join us post here or text me.
