  Weather looks too good to not get out on the water. Looking to do Blue Spring to Meramec State Park Sunday. Plan is to meet at the Eureka Wal-Mart parking lot at 8:00 am to combine boats and shuttle out to the Meramec State park boat ramp to finalize shuttle plans. Will post further details if I get enough for a shuttle. Post here or text me at 314 971-5198 if interested.

  I am interested but did want to confirm that it will be on Sunday the 5th as the Title of the post says 10/06/2025 Meramec Blue Spring to Meramec State Park, and the 6th is Monday.
  Also, I don’t paddle the Meramec often so I don’t know water levels like I do on the Current and I’m trying to figure out which boat to bring as I paddle a solo canoe. I would love to bring my Northstar Phoenix but if the water level is to low and I would scrape a lot I would bring a royalex canoe. Any input on water level from folks that know that river and section best is appreciated.

    For a safe bet bring your royalex canoe you may scrape on this section of meramec

    Sounds good. It does have scratches already on it but I try and not take it on sections where I could scrape if at all possible. Thanks again!

    Dorine, that is so sweet of you but I do live in STL, born and raised. I live in North County in Florissant. I just don’t do the Meramec very much as I love the Current more and I’m willing to drive longer to get there. But for a day trip the Meramec is perfect!

  Looks like I have plenty to work out a shuttle plan. If you plan on meeting us anywhere but at the Eureka Walmart at 8:00 am let me know so I can anticipate shuttle requirements. Please text me if you decide not to come so that we not waiting unnecessarily.
