Please post here any questions and to let others know that you plan on attending. I will be watching water and weather conditions and will post here to confirm that the trip is a go by early Friday before.

Do you mean the Logyard Landing Canoe Access in Ellington, MO 63638 off of State Hwy HH?

This will be my first real paddle this season. And it’s on my birthday!
Fingers crossed that the weather holds as currently predicted

Looking forward to this trip. This is the only section of the Jack’s Fork I haven’t paddled yet and it’s been a while since I went on a club trip.

Anyone thinking of camping the night before?
Log Yard Campground has 1st come 1st served camping, with 6 total sites, payments through recreation.gov at the site through the “Scan & Pay” system via recreation.gov app, which should be loaded, etc. prior to arrival, according to recreation.gov.
The next closest campground that I have found is Alley Spring Campground. 29 miles or 42 minutes away from Log Yard. It is ~4 river miles from Log Yard.
Cost is $20 + fees/taxes at recreation.gov. Loop 7 there are several tent sites available close to one another. 2 tents per site.

John, Other backcountry campgrounds close would be Powder Mill and Shawnee Creek. Both are the same as Log Yard, about 6 sites first come first serve. When I checked a few minutes ago there was one reservable site left at Two Rivers. These are all between our shuttle points.

Unless someone has better idea I am planning to come to Logyard in early evening to set up before dark. Happy to share any of the campsites if you arrive first. Or you can share mine if I get there first.
As long as I can figure out how that Recreation.gov app works. Trying here at home makes no sense to me.

I plan on going down to Log Yard Friday. I hope to get there by midafternoon to secure a first come sight if possible. I will text someone what I find so people can decide what they want to do. I currently have the following people registered for this trip:
      Gary Bill
      Mark Johnson
      Don Crawford
      Tracy Kahl
      Dorine Johnson
      Roger Boyd
      Scott Thierheimer
Weather looks great and no significant rain forecasted. Being a weekend I do expect the Jack’s Fork portion of the paddle to be very busy.
