Hello Paddlers
Would anyone be interested in going to Lake Itaska State Park — the headwaters of the Mississippi River? It’s a 12 hour drive so I think two full days should be reserved for driving. I would think we’d want a minimum of 2, maybe 3 days up there if you’ve never been in the area like me.
We could kayak on the lake and maybe do a few stretches of the river itself — maybe even one a particularly scenic part on the way up or down.
Obviously a lot more research needs to be done and I have no dates in mind at this time. If it’s a place you’d like to visit, please let me know by replying here.
