Hi! I’m just starting a thread for my biweekly “anybody doing a popup this weekend?” post. I’m sans kids this weekend and can paddle Sunday if anyone is up for it. It looks cloudy but not terribly cold 🙂

I could paddle tomorrow if enough would join us for a shuttle. You have something in mind?

Meramec would be fun for me. I know it’s old had to many but still relatively new to me. Onandaga to Blue Spring or Allenton to Sherman Beach (new stretch for me) or Chouteau to Palisades. I’ve never been on the Meramec II stretch (basically Campbell to Chouteau).
I’m really game for anything between 7-15 and within 60, maybe 75 min drive. If there are other stretches of nearby rivers that would be less boring to you or others I’m down.

Hi there, it’s my spring break this week and Im free on Wednesday and Thursday (yipppeee!). Is anyone interested in paddling depending on weather and water levels? Wednesday looks nicer – partly cloudy and close to 60, Thursday looks rainy.

Small river, <=60 min drive, Meramec? 8-15 miles depending on how fast it’s moving. I put my kids on the school bus at 7:45, could leave my house at 8:45, but I have no hard stop time.

How about Uhlemeyer on the Bourbeuse to Robertsville State Park on the Meramec. This is close, a short shuttle and about twelve miles. Is going to be cold Wednesday morning (30 degrees) so I would suggest that we start later than usual to let things warm up. Bourbeuse should be at a good level by Wednesday. We would need at least one more person to make a shuttle work. So if anybody else is interested let us know. Will post details if we get any interest.

I have a new kayak I’m itching to try out but don’t have a paddle yet…no one has 220 cm high angle ones in stock yet.

I don’t know why you need a high angle paddle . Any paddle can be paddled high angle. Heck, I paddle my Greenland high angle, as well as my whitewater boat. I have an extra paddle, but more importantly, do you have proper clothes to dress for immersion? The water will be cold and keeping your feet, and body warm is essential. Kathy

I’m going.
Hi Kathy. What kayak will you be using tomorrow? If possible, I’d like to paddle your Dagger Stratos 14.5 L. Otherwise I’ll bring my Jackson Karma RG. -
