Minimum (Basic) Required Gear
PFD (Personal Flotation Device), also called a lifejacket – All must wear when on the water (Club Requirement)
Whistle – should be “pealess” (no internal moving parts) so it will work when wet. (Coast Guard Requirement)
And, of course, a kayak, canoe, or SUP, and paddle. (Duh)
