It’s mostly a narrow stream, and may have low water in areas requiring dragging, hitting rocks, gravel bottom, strainers. Kathy

We had a trip registration issue where Phil and Shelly cancelled to redo and add Wes. However, even though we cancelled the first Phil and Shelly (to register group instead), we now show as being registered twice and taking up slots.

After numerous phone calls ( unanswered ) and messages left on voicemail I was finally contacted by Marsan Kayak Tours and received confirmation that our tour is on for this coming Saturday. I have nine people registered and three other people that also expressed an interest in attending. Since we have more than eight people coming they will knock the price down to $40 a person.

I will be on the Current river the rest of this week, coming home Friday evening. If someone can’t make it and needs to cancel please let me know either by email or voicemail.

Let’s meet at the parking lot of Buckheits and be ready to go to the cave by 9 AM Saturday morning. If everybody could bring cash that will speed things up considerably. Since this is an A.C.A. sanctioned event anyone who is not an A.C.A. member this year will need to purchase the $10 single event insurance or you will not be allowed to participate.

Huge thank you to all the organizers and instructors at the clinic on Saturday! I learned SO much and had such a good time. Really appreciated how kind and welcoming everyone was. I got a few good action photos. Let me know if there is someone I can email these to. Thank you all!

A HUGE thank you to all the Clinic instructors, assistants, safety boaters, and volunteers for your contributions to the success of this years event. From the feedback I got throughout the day, the participants learned a lot and had fun. You are the reason for that. Thank you again!

I’m planning to go to Council Bluff on Friday as well. Will stay tuned to hear if folks are going to set up in a particular area of the campground (perhaps I can look for all the boats? 😉 Note there is not currently water service in the campground, but per website “Public drinking water and showers are available at the privately managed Chapel Hill Beach located within Council Bluff Recreation Area”
