Water is getting chilly. Around 70 degrees but likely warmer in a slough. People who get cold might like a drysuit or wetsuit and dry set of clothes.

Have enough people for a shuttle so this trip is a go. We will meet at the Allenton Access at 9:30 to combine boats and shuttle up to the put-in. Hopefully it will warm up by time we get on the water. Be sure to dress appropriately for the water and weather conditions.

I am good to go on the trip as long as I can be off the water and at my car by 3 pm (in order to honor a previous commitment.

Right now predicted 10-12 mph wind gusts for Saturday. 15 miles in Mississippi R pool is much slower than the Missouri R with current. I’ve paddled upstream in that area with Joan and it’s very doable. Kathy

There is very little current right now as you expected. The wind is a bigger unknown and has been ferocious this year at times. It is about 4 miles upstream to Grafton. The bluffs can be visible from Hideaway all the way to Grafton.

My plan is to meet y’all at Pulltite at 8:20. My back-up plan is to meet y’all at Akers at 9a. I will get a first-come-first-served site at Pulltite or share with someone.

I would appreciate someone bringing an extra paddle. I have one, but not two…

I have a camp site (#10) reserved at Round Spring (Ozark National Scenic Riverways) for Friday night, which could accommodate one more tent. Note that I won’t arrive there til about 9pm, and that it is approximately a 24 minute drive from there to Pulltite.

If anyone has a reserved site at Pulltite for Saturday night and would like to share it (and cost) with me, please let me know. I have my own, 1-person tent. Cell 202-725-8167.

Hmmmm. I’m not seeing an opening on the web site. Maybe it takes some time to refresh. I’ll try tomorrow. Thanks.
