We’ll meet at Blanchette at 10a to run shuttle to Weldon Springs, from there we will paddle to Frontier Park, get out, lock the boats up and walk up to a restaurant to eat dinner. After eating, we’ll watch the fireworks display. After the fireworks, we’ll get back on the river and paddle down about a half mile to the Blanchette Landing where we will take out, load the boats, and run shuttle back to Weldon.

    Things to bring:

    Liquids
Lunch to eat on the river
    Sunscreen
    A lock and cable
    Money for dinner
A chair to watch the fireworks display

Dennis I’d love to join you.
Are you camping Friday night too or driving down Sat am?
Should I be calling to book my campsite at Round Spring or squeezing my tent onto yours?
    Planning to do any fishing?

I’m planning to paddle as well and will talk to Aven, he is interested if he can make it, Wayne may want to go as well. I can bring my trailer to help with the shuttle.

I understand, and you already do a lot,Dave. I’ll be in N Carolina and am not available. Perhaps someone who’s done it in the past and can step up to lead this trip? There are many who’ve been paddling with us for years and haven’t lead a trip. Kathy

My back is going to prevent me from being able to lead this trip. We need someone else to step up to lead this trip, and if no one volunteers the trip will need to be canceled.

My apologies to Iliker and anyone else who did not see the post in Facebook and on their website of the change of location of todays paddle on the Meramec. It was changed due to low water. . It was a fun trip with Joe Feager, Jeff, Jenn, Ed, Jim Moody and Janet, Dennis , as well as a newer member, Doug. We kept cool by wading, but I think Sundays would be a better day for future trips on the Meramec during the summer. I’ve never seen it so crowded. Onondaga to Blue Springs usually has enough water, even during drought . Thanks all who came today . Again, sorry for any misunderstanding. Once you register for a trip, try to read the trip comments on the website for possible changes . Kathy

Again, I will meet you at Blue Springs. I have room on my roof rack for another Kayak if someone has pads and straps. I have nothing to secure it.

We will be camping at both locations. North Fork Recreation area (also known as Hammond Camp) is basic campground in Mark Twain National Forest. It has water and pit toilets. Twin Bridges ia a full service campground with cabins campsites for tents and RVs and a restaurant. I offer both for those who want to go on an overnight trip but don’t have camping gear or a desire to rough it. I am camping at North Fork as the campsites are spread out among old growth trees and much more serene than Twin Bridges.
