posting a paddle for New Years Day on the Meramec. Plan is to meet at the Route 66 State Park Boat ramp by 11:00 am to paddle up stream to where the Big River meets the Meramec then back to the boat ramp. No shuttle will be needed. Probably no lunch on the river, just a short break to stretch our legs. This is mostly a flat pool with minimal current. Weather is going to be chilly with a high around 39 but no rain and minimal wind in the forecast. Please dress for the weather and water conditions. Text me or post here if interested.

Count me in! This will be the coldest day I will have paddled, and a good way to start the new year!

I would like to come. Being lost in that area before, I am pretty sure now that putting “Route 66 State Park boat launch” into my phone is the right way to get there. Joan

I would love to paddle but I have to babysit until noon. If anybody is going out afterward, please let me know and I’ll meet you.

Happy New Year! Thank you for leading this one, Dennis. Wish I could join you all, but I am getting some much needed rest in a secluded cabin this weekend. I’m so grateful for all of you I’ve met, paddled with, and taken safety trainings with over this past year! Life has felt busy with work and parenting this fall, so I didn’t have the energy to paddle much, but I am so happy to see y’all posting loads of common adventurer trips! Please keep it up, and I hope I can join you more this spring!
      Cheers,
      Eleanor

Thanks Dennis for getting us out on the river! Six miles paddling helped to shake off the excesses of 2023! Here’s to more events in 2024!!
