      Hello Paddlers

To those of you who will be alone on Christmas Day for whatever reason, would you like to get together and do something?

Weather permitting, we could paddle, go on a hike, meet at a restaurant, walk down Main Street Saint Charles, even meet at my house and watch paddling movies on my 82″ TV.

If you are interested, let me know here or via email or text and of course, no hurry. Can’t make any outdoor plans obviously until closer to the date. Just wanted to put this out there.

Long range forecast is 53 degrees and raining but that can of course, change.

Assuming there is no chance of rain, looking at going upriver on the Meramec from either George Winter Park of Minnie Ha Ha Park. Another option is to launch from the St Charles Riverfront area and check out the remnants of the Montana and Fawn steamboats, then also go upriver for awhile.

I am trying to find places that might be open for a hot drink afterwards. All suggestions welcome.

I don’t want to do this if it might rain.

I don’t see rain until after 7 pm. If we can’t find a place open, my house is available if we do George Winter Park. Kathy

      Thank you, Kathy!

That is very generous of you. I was thinking we could use whichever of those two parks had the easiest boat ramp to use.

Just watched the Saturday evening weather report and the forecast is widespread rain on Christmas Day.

Is there any interest in doing something indoors like watching paddling movies? (Or any other kind.)

      Merry Christmas everyone.

It’s 11:18 and it’s still raining so we’re cancelling this. Hopefully we’ll get another paddle in before the new year.
