      St. Louis Kayak & Canoe Club Meeting
      Shrewsbury Community Center

      Location: Shrewsbury Community Center – 5200 Shrewsbury Ave Saint Louis, MO 63119

      The meeting was called to order by Carolyn Knarr at 6:50 PM.

      Skills Clinic
      Carolyn put the call out for instructors, including a chief instructor. If anyone is interested, they should contact Carolyn.
      Registration is now open.
      Event date is June 15th at Council Bluff Recreation Area Lake.

      Other Announcements
      There will be no potluck this year.
      Gary is stepping down as Treasurer after 6 ½ years (thank you, Gary!). This was a planned transition and xxx will be taking over as Treasurer.
      There is a need to update the information on file with the Secretary of State to update our Treasurer position. Brian advised that this is easy to do online and is around $30.
      Brian has been the primary person submitting documentation to the state but has offered it up to others if they are willing to step in to help.
      Event Reminders
      National Safety Boating Week – Event will be held on May 25th at Finger Lakes State Park near Columbia and Cuivre River State Park. Safety Boat Volunteers Needed for Introductory Kayak Class at event. Contact Carolyn for more information.
