If the current forecast for the weather holds and we don’t get too much rain this week I’m looking to do an overnighter on the Big Piney with gravel bar camping. This would be a shortened version of the usual club trip. The plan would be to meet at the Mason Bridge access around 10:00 Saturday to drop boats and gear, then do a shuttle. We would take out at the Ross access on Sunday. We would camp at the usual gravel bar that the club has used previously. This means we would paddle 8 miles Saturday and 15 miles Sunday. With the late start Saturday people could head down at a reasonable time Saturday morning. I will be watching the water levels and weather to make sure we have a safe trip and post updates if needed. Post here or text me if interested.

Weather looks okay and the river is at a good level so this trip is a go. Be sure to bring rain gear just in case. Details are the same as previously posted. Meet at the Mason Bridge access around 10:00 am Saturday. Post here or text me at three14 Nine seven one 5198.

Mason Bridge Access is about 8 miles west of Licking off of Hwy 32. There is a street sign marked River Acc Dr. If you cross the river you went too far.

Weather forecast for Sunday has changed to a possible 1” of rain and storm early. Will probably camp at Slab Town Saturday instead of on the river to watch river level,
