Thought I would post and see if anyone would be interested in paddling Wednesday with the nice weather forecast. Open to ideas.

I am interested in paddling also on Wednesday. Rich Orr also has an interest and he suggested the upper Bourbeuse. A little faster water than a normal Meramec trip but shouldn’t be bad. What do you think?

I like that upper Bourbeuse but I need to be back in town by 6 pm for a meeting . If that would work, I’m in. It’s about 1.5 hrs from STL .

Upper Bourbeuse sounds okay. I don’t think I’ve done that stretch before.
Also, the Huzzah might be good. We did it last year at this time.

I’m in! What’s the point of being retired if we can’t be spontaneous.
Let us know when and where.

Upper Bourbeuse is kind of out for me. Haven’t been up there since before covid. Kind of far for either a short paddle or too long a paddle. Huzzah is at a good level but shuttle will be tricky since the forest service screwed up parking at their access. Still I would prefer to do it. So lets meet at the Scotia Access at 9:30 to combine boats and shuttle up to the put-in.

      Is this the correct address?
Huzzah Conservation Area, 5070 Christy Mine Rd, Bourbon, Mo 65441

Richard Orr is not paddling tomorrow after all so I will paddle with you guys.
John, I think you need to put in “Huzzah Conservation Area River Access” to get to the right spot but I will let the trip leader respond.

Mapquest B & Brown Canoe Rental. They are right across the creek from the access. It’s the same place we used the last time.
