Boat and Skill Level It is a small river so a 15 ft. boat or shorter would probably be ideal although a whitewater boat would not be a good idea. This river is pretty slow so beginners shouldn't have a problem navigating.
Directions Meet at the Eureka Walmart parking lot at 7AM and we can do some consolidating or go directly to Mill Rock Access. Take I-44 to Sullivan and take Hwy 185 north, go 2 miles and turn left on Hwy H, go 11 miles to Mill Rock road, turn right. Mill Rock Access is 2.5 miles. We will then shuttle vehicles to Wenkel Ford Access. Total river miles of float will be 7.2 miles
Trip Information While intended to be a fishing trip it is certainly open to anyone interested in a leisurely float down a lightly used river. PFD's are a must. Sunscreen and a hat recommended. Bring a poncho or something in case it rains. Bring a lunch and plenty of liquids. No consumption of adult beverages while on the river. This trip will be very dependent on the river level so let's hope for some rain this spring.
